Laurajean Rispens, PMP, PMI-ACP, MCT
Vice President of Membership
Laurajean Rispens, PMP, PMI-ACP, MCT is a PMP Certified instructor that holds both a Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Trainer credentials. She is the Director of the PMO at EPM Live/LMR Solutions in Carlsbad, California. She also teaches Project Management Principals and Best Practices as well as other classes all surrounding the project management discipline.
Laurajean has been a member of PMI San Diego since achieving her PMP in 2004. She has been an active and dedicated chapter volunteer with an impressive resume of involvement and leadership.
For the past two years, she has served on the board as the VP of Professional Development. Here are just a few of what she accomplished during that tenure:
• Creating a 2-PDU event prior to each monthly component dinner meeting
• Executing four PMP/CAPM Prep Class Events per calendar year
• Implemented a new Webinar program which will allow individuals to attend PDU accredited education classes from any remote location
• Executing Agile/Scrum certification classes
Prior to joining the board of directors, she served as the Assistant VP of Professional Development – PMP Exam Prep Class, under John Stenbeck from 2009 – 2010, where she implemented a 2-year growth plan of teaching opportunities for the PMP/CAPM Exam Prep Class including the concept for a new Instructor workshop to educate and evaluate new PMP/CAPM class teachers. Before that, she was the Print Manager for the PMI-SD Conference in 2008 and 2009, responsible for the accuracy of all conference collateral materials such as flyers, invitations and the conference proceedings.
Laurajean is an avid hiker, enjoys traveling and being active. Her most recent adventure with Homes for Hope sent her to Mexico where she helped build a home for a family in need.
Laurajean looks forward to serving the chapter as the VP of Membership and growing a new Membership team. She would like any motivated volunteers looking for a challenging and rewarding assignment, to reach out to her to help with this task.
